Welcome to the show host resource and information page. Be sure to always refer to your show as “your show name” on Elite Experts Network.
Follow the steps below to set yourself up for success.
Step 1 - Files Needed:
Email Pat Altvater the following items:
- A 300 dpi resolution picture of yourself and your business logo
- The website address that you would like to have on the outro slide and the bio page
- Your bio (about 200 words), your title that you’d like in the voice over and social media links for the show host tab on the website
Complete step 1 within one week of the completion of your Membership Agreement and the payment of your membership fee.
Step 2 - Show Planning:
Part 1 - Show Name: Come up with some ideas for your show overall name; be sure it has a solid keyword for your niche. Work with your Pat to come up with your show name.
Part 2 - Episode Planning: We recommend that you plan for four months worth of episodes at a time. This helps you because you can make sure your video episodes are integrated with your marketing plan and in addition, when it comes time to write scripts since you already have the title.
Be sure to think about your ideal client and the problem your specific video will address when coming up with titles. Download the Elite Experts Network planning document.
When you have this completed, we are happy to review it with you, just email it to Pat.
Step 3 - Prepare to Create Great Videos:

Step 4 - Film Your Videos:
Part 1: Show Filming Dates: We will reach out to you to schedule your filming. You will film your two videos for the following month on the scheduled day. Bring a change of clothes if you want to wear something different in each of your shows.
Part 2: Write your script using the format described below and on this Template for Script. Your script should be approximately 350 - 400 words in order to create a video that is in the 2 - 2 1/2 minute range. Our audiences do not open videos over 4 minutes in length and prefer videos that are 2 minutes or less, so after you’ve written your script, time yourself reading it and then cut parts out to create a short, yet powerful video.
Please watch Lesson 6 on how to create a good hook as well as the other two suggested videos about script writing above. Follow this format for your script:
10 - 15 Second Hook - to tell the viewer what’s in it for them by watching. Then say something like, “Stay with me …” or “I’ll be right back to tell you more” or “Stay tuned…”
We insert the intro to your episode (stays the same each episode)
Content - this should be around 2 minutes. It should be tip oriented, providing content that your target audience needs to know and that showcases your knowledge and expertise.
Call to Action - Watch the videos above Learn Why Some Call to Action Phrases Convert and Some Don’t and the other one, The Most Important Part of your Online Script. Craft a short call to action that leads the viewer to do what you want them to do. You can have a different call to action each episode.
Part 3: Wardrobe: Since we will be filming with a green screen, please follow these instructions regarding attire:
•don’t wear anything green
•avoid wearing white shirts, light pastels would be better
•good choices are often medium or darker blues, pastels, tans, and grays
Patterns and texture:
•don’t wear stripes; they tend to flicker and produce a strobing pattern
•avoid busy patterns; it is generally best to wear solid colors
•don’t wear clothes that shine or reflect the lights
•avoid fringes in clothing; especially if shot against the green screen
Jewelry - avoid jewelry that is excessively shiny; especially in a green screen shoot which may reflect that color
Part 4: Video Production Sheet: For each show you need to complete a Video Production Sheet. We’ve provided an example completed document to help guide you: Example Completed Video Production Information Sheet as well as the video below that explains about captions (captions are phrases that can appear at the bottom of the screen while you are speaking to help the viewer follow along with your content). Please download the master Video Production Information Sheet and save it on your computer. You need to complete this for each episode and email it to your Regional Director at the time you send your video scripts. It gives the edit/production team the information they need such as episode name, keywords, links, captions, etc. If you have graphics you’d like inserted into your video, mention them in the Video Production Sheet and attach them to the email, label the graphics to correspond to the notation on the VPS sheet. For captions and graphics please indicate on your script where they should be displayed.
Watch the video below that explains how to note captions in your script and on the VPS sheet:
1. It should be 30 – 45 seconds
2. It should tell the viewer what’s in it for them (WIFFM)…why they should watch the video episodes
3. A brief overview of the types of content that will be in the videos
4. An introduction of yourself and your company, do not pitch your services
5. An invitation for them to watch your episodes below
Watch other channel intros on your network to get some ideas for what to say.
