Fred Altvater

Fred Altvater is a practicing and unrepentant Golfaholic and has been involved with golf for over 50 years.
As the owner of Back 9 Media Group, he is the Publisher of the Ohio Golf Journal, a monthly digital magazine that features interesting articles from a variety of writers on Instruction, News, Views, Travel, Equipment, History and Editorial content about Golf.
He co-hosts the weekly golf talk radio show Back 9 Report that can be heard Live every Tuesday evening or downloaded on Blogtalk, TuneIn, ITunes and GNN Radio. Every week Fred and his co-host Carlos Torres cover anything and everything golf. They put their unique spin on current golf news, review past tournament action and preview upcoming golf events.
Fred also hosts the Back 9 Report on Roku TV.
Fred is a USGTF Golf Instructor and enjoys teaching the game to every level of golfer.
A member of the Golf Writers of America Association (GWAA), he and his wife enjoy traveling to golf destinations around the country.
